It’s easy for me to say that you have to eat more than you burn, but if you have an elevated metabolism this is not so easy. Calories eaten will not necessarily be digested. Calories digested will not necessarily get into your cells and be transformed into weight and muscle.

- Suppress catabolic processes (= weight gain); lowering catabolic hormones, increasing anabolic hormones, improving digestion and preserving calories
- Force calories into weight (= weight gain); lowering heat dissipation and forcing calories into protein synthesis
As you may have guessed, you create energy deficits through exercising. And in order to create a HUGE energy deficit and get a HUGE response from your body (weight gain), you have to do SHORT and VERY INTENSE exercises.
The biggest energy deficit creators are compound movements – squats, deadlifts and bench presses. Lifting weights forces the body to adapt to the energy deficit the load creates, and it does this by switching the metabolism into weight gain mode, thus building muscles.
What to eat to gain weight fast: A healthy weight gain diet
Exercise creates huge energy deficits and switches your body into weight gain mode. To then gain that weight, you must eat strategically and supply your body with calories when it is in this state.

So, you need a system that continually does three things:
- Creates energy deficits in your body

This system has to also be plateau-proof because, when creating energy deficits, your body will be adapting and will need periods of strategic deconditioning. You also need a guide on weight gain supplements, pills and cardio — not an easy subject.
